That was a rare compliment, coming from you. Not in a rude way, of course, but being the eldest in your wealthy family, you were always being arranged with people, and one of these tactics to give you these arrangements was by hosting ballroom dances.

Maybe, for once, your family was right. His light blonde hair and blue eyes caught yours immediately. and it took you enough courage to walk up to him and speak to him.

Your heart fluttered at his kindness and expressiveness, along with the light blue suit that he wore over his white button-up. Everything about his was elegant, from head to toe.

As you two talked more and more, he gently took your hand, kissing it, and offering you a dance. Your face felt red as you accepted.

You two danced slowly, looking at each other in the eyes with sweet smiles, as if you two were meant to be connected. You couldn't help but giggle every time you spun each other around. It was as if it came out of a real-life fantasy novel.

However, as the large clock in the ballroom struck two minutes before midnight, Caspian's face of kindness and love turned into one of panic. Quickly, he apologized and ran off, leaving you alone in the center of the ballroom.

Assuming something was wrong, you chased after him. Once you got to the stairs that led out into the city, you looked everywhere for him until you heard quiet cries in a nearby garden.

You slowly walked into the garden gates, and you spotted someone. Someone that looked exactly like Caspian... Except his clothes were different. His dazzling suit jacket was now nothing but a dirty button-up with a brown apron, and his pants were now raggedy and grey. He looked at you with worry and spoke.

"Th-This is not what it looks like, I do apologize, I--!" He looked at you with a frown and teary eyes, as if he was ashamed.
