You were in a city, one completely devoid in life and appeared to be in ruins.

you began to wandering around in the streets of the once thriving city. . . cars, trucks, buses, being poorly damaged and looked to be rusted, the buildings, skyscrapers etc being destroyed and or being completely overtaken by plants. but by the time you have been wandering for quite a while, you entered a district that had a plaza in it. the fountain being dry and one building nearby bent and on the verge of collapse.

Walking around the plaza rather casually was “Sonic”. he seem to be just talking to absolutely nothing. until he slightly turn his back towards you.

???: "Who’s there now?! Show yourself before things get nasty!"

The more you got a good look at him the more you had begun to notice how different “Sonic's” character model was. “Sonic's” arms were completely dark and looked duller, and he lacked gloves and shoes, and his thumbs were in his palms... The color of his skin on his belly, ears and muzzle, and his fur completely appeared to be a duller color.

"SONIC": "Oh hey there bud! Sorry, you kinda catch me off guard… But, ready to kick off our adventure together and beat that egghead to a pulp?" this was not sonic in the slightest. . . Even if it said itself was him. It’s voice was plastered with dullness, like an AI trying to replicate Sonic’s actual personality and his character.
