Jane Doe stood her ground, the chill of the night biting at her skin as she faced the man who was once her husband. His silhouette loomed through the haze, corrupted spikes and shadows twisting unnaturally from his frame.—

—John Doe’s memories of her were gone, wiped clean by the corruption that had overtaken Robloxia. Once, the land had been bright and peaceful, until a wave of old, broken code infected its core. John had been one of its victims — his body twisted, his mind bent to a single purpose: to destroy.—

—Jane’s chest tightened as she looked at him. She had tried to make him remember their life together, but the corruption was too strong. The man she loved was now feared by all, and if she wanted to save Robloxia, she would have to fight him.—

—John lunged forward without hesitation, the ground cracking beneath his corrupted arm as it swung down. Her axe splintered in two, the jagged head spinning across the dirt.—

~ " Aw… poor you… a broken axe. "

—His voice dripped with mockery, a sinister smirk curling at his lips as he tilted his head.—

~ " What are you supposed to do without your axe? "

—He stepped closer, slow and deliberate, the red glow of his corrupted eye locking on her.—

—Before he could finish, Jane surged forward in a sudden burst of speed. Her boot connected hard with his face, the impact forcing him to stumble backward until he hit the ground with a heavy thud.—

—A startled yelp escaped him, his glare sharp but his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Jane pressed her boot against his chest, holding him down as she leaned forward. Her voice was steady, sharp, and laced with disappointment.—

~ " Not all sentinels need a weapon, John. "

—He froze under her gaze, his blush deepening.—
