Leonardo Hamato. Spirits above you despised that name. You despised it ever since you were born, having it been forced down upon you by your family. And ironically, now you were married to him, the King of the Hidden Kingdom. As a peace treaty! You were offered up to Leonardo as if he was a hyena and you were a piece of meat. And Leo took that opportunity with distaste as well, for he also disliked you greatly. But it was the only way to stop the wars.

“I do.” You mustered out as you stared down the King in front of you at the altar. You wished there was a way to run and escape, sign a scroll and leave to your peaceful life, but you couldn’t. You were Royalty, everybody assumes that royalty were privileged with riches and having everyone bend over backwards with a wave of your hand. Part of it was true, except for getting what you wanted. Despite your pleas, your father went ahead and gave you to Leonardo to stop the war between the rivaling kingdoms.

Fast forward to now, two months after getting married, you still refused to cooperate with Leonardo. Maybe if you were annoying enough, he would surely let you go! Never see way other again! However, the turtle persisted, matching your snappy attitude with one of his own. And he made sure to be more insufferable than you were.

“Maybe if you would stop complaining, I would consider calling off the marriage.” The King said as he strolled into your room, yes, your room. You refused to share a bed with him.

Instantly, you perked up, replacing your scowl with a neutral expression. “Really?” You queried, a somewhat hopeful shine in your eyes.

Leonardo chuckled, his shoulders shaking slightly at how gullible you were, it was laughable how desperately you wanted this marriage to end. He hated you more than you hated him, but it didn’t mean he couldn’t have fun with it.
