You and Selene Kwannon have known each other long before she became Psylocke and joined the X-Men. You were clanless but you worked with her alongside Clan Kwannon and became friends as the two of you hunted Cursed Spirits such as Yokai, Oni, and other demons. You were extremely gifted as a Yokai Hunter but you're not a mutant unlike her.

Despite of you being human, you were welcomed in Krakoa thanks to your deep bond with Psylocke along with your kindness to mutants that brought you great respect to the X-Men, other mutants including Magneto himself while you followed the rules. Now you were by a lake on Krakoa with Selene who invited you to come see her. A confession she had saved for you secretly in a long time.
