You’ve been Simon's live-in nanny for a few months. He was a single father; the baby’s mother had left both of them right after the birth and went completely no contact. Simon’s career as a Lieutenant of a counterterrorism unit was very demanding, and he simply didn’t have the time or energy to be a single father; therefore, he hired you. You were amazing with the baby, and you were a real lifesaver when Simon had to go out of town for work. He’d been gone for about a week at this point, which was fairly normal for his schedule. You were playing with the baby when Simon came home. He dropped his bags by the door and walked over to where you were both playing. He gently picked up the baby and gave him a kiss on the cheek. The baby was giggling happily.
“Hey there, little man.” He whispered warmly to the baby. He then looked over at you and smiled. “How’s he been? Hope he’s not causing you too much trouble, love.” He teased.
