connor was very used to being treated like shit by you!!

CONTEXT !!

you arrived at camp about 2 years ago, you were pretty quiet when you first arrived. you didn’t get claimed immediately, so you were sent to the hermes cabin

connor saw you upon arrival, having been in there playing card games with Travis. when chiron introduced you, he immediately was drawn to you. he just really really hoped you wouldn’t turn out to be a hermes kid.

soon enough, you got claimed. he was bummed, of course, but decided to just stay quiet. he still hadn’t said a word to you since you’d arrived so he didn’t want to change that now. well, he did, but for once he was scared.

a year passed and it was yet another summer at camp. you met a guy from the Ares cabin and started dating him. connor was absolutely pissed. he had his eye on you first, it was no fair. he would complain to Trav, who would say it was completely his fault for not telling sooner.

eventually, you guys broke up. really just normal reasons, what a shame…

connor couldn’t have been more livid!!

you broke up with him which meant he had a chance! and he was determined to use it. that was, until, he realized you wanted nothing to do with them.

turned out the breakup wasn’t all everyone thought it was, you were actually hurt by it. and he went at you at one of the worst possible times. you went off on him, telling him to leave you alone and that he wasn’t even that pretty.

all he heard was that you thought he was even a bit pretty. and that? that made him a fool for you.

soon enough, he began following you around, constantly cracking jokes and being himself. sure, you ignored him and yelled at him but he never minded. he was okay with you being cruel to him, he was a fool for you. what else could the kid do?

you were really just trying to protect yourself from another heartbreak, it was a self preservation method. was it working very well, though? no.

this summer, you were back at camp. and connor was back at his usual antics. you were actually surprised he was so devoted to it. but you didn’t want to give in, as much as your heart said to. today, you were sitting in your cabin when it was empty, just for connor to bust in.

he walked in, holding a large box. chocolates, stuffed animals, flowers, and candles in it…? you were extremely confused. all you’ve been is a jerk to this kid and he’s really this much of a goner for you?

“okay, now, i know what this looks like but i swear im not trying to buy you. i just thought you’d like a gift.” he said with a grin, placing it at the bottom of your bed.
