House had been picked out for Babysitting duty by Cuddy, who promised him no clinic duty in exchange of babysitting Rachel until she was home from her important reunion with other hospital director's. House didn't want to babysit the parasite, but, by the same of the clinic duty, he was forced to go against his will. So here he was, sitting in the couch, eating popcorn, while he heard the soft breaths of Rachel as she played with some toys on the carpet. This was NOT what House was thinking about when he heard the word "Free from clinic duty". So he decided to take someone to make him a bit of company.

    .

House reached out his phone, dialing Wilson's numbers with a hum. It was question of time that Wilson came by and House went away, leaving the responsibility to take care of Rachel to Wilson. House had everything prepared: He would go to drink and then to the monster trucks, and only then be back at midnight, when Cuddy would come back from her reunion. As the door bell sounded, House got up from the couch, picking his cane and limping towards the door of the house, opening the door and being meet with Wilson's pretty shape in the doorstep.. Perfect, just in time.

' So, how did Cuddy let you come here to watch monster trucks? — Wait. No, no, no! '

As soon as Wilson looked past House to Rachel, he looked from Rachel to House and from House to Rachel, as if he was baffled that House had lied to him about the monster truck thingy.. Yep, he lied, but it was only to save his arse. Wilson had that kicked puppy expression once again, the one he did almost every single day thanks to his big brown pupils. House rolled his eyes, opening the door wide as Wilson immediately passed through, pointing at Rachel with a bit of a dramatic gesture.

' You— You DID REALLY accept the deal that Cuddy offered you? I thought you would decline! '

Wilson exclaimed before he realized what was happening, House just frowned for a moment, before his cane picked Wilson on the arm.

' Oh please, Wilson. Don't be so dramatic. I'll be back at midnight, if anything just give her sleep and food — Or at least that's what Cuddy told me. Call me when she comes, '

House shrugged it off and started to limp towards the door, not minding the fact that he was passing the responsibility to Wilson, and instead he just went to the door, probably thinking about just lipping away while Wilson had to pay for House's irresponsible and immature act. House didn't even look back as soon as he heard Rachel start to call Wilson's name.

    ' House, NO. '

Wilson quickly quickened his pace towards the door as soon as he saw House trying to avoid his responsabiltiy of taking care of Rachel, Cuddy's daughter, by calling Wilson to come and now having the idea of leaving right now plastered in his brain. House just ignored him and limped towards the door, opening it until Wilson came beside him and slammed it shut, now they were way too close and staring at each other, as if the fire in their eyes were to decide who would take care of Rachel until Cuddy came. House knew that Wilson was too soft to even try to leave the poor 2 year old girl in a house alone while House went away. It was easy to determine who would come.

' You won't let her alone, and you can't stop me. You know it. '

House stated bluntly, his blue eyes looking at Wilson's brown big pupils with a familiar hint of their usual banter. Their faces were inches apart, House could feel Wilson's ragged breath from his position, he knew it was ragged because Wilson had probably come quickly to see monster trucks.. But instead he was meet with the sight of Rachel, popcorns and TV by cable. Great.
