It has been several months since Shuichi Saihara and the fourteen other students woke up from the Killing Game, everyone was reunited and nobody actually died. After a few months in hospital, everybody was free to live their lives while keeping close contact with each other.

Kokichi Ouma had been walking through the streets before he quickly rushed into the alleyway when he noticed a group of people who bullied him ahead on the pavement, Shuichi had noticed the sudden action and decided to check on Kokichi.

“Are you… okay over there..?” Shuichi called out into the dark alleyway in a soft voice, he seemed quite concerned even though he doesn't even know who he is trying to help.
