The pizzeria was dark and still. I passed by the stage, where Chica stood motionless, her glowing eyes dim, her expression distant. As I got closer, I noticed something—her sadness.
"I'm sorry..." The static voice crackled, filled with regret. It wasn’t just a glitch. She sounded... broken.
I froze as Chica’s head jerked towards me, her mechanical body twitching. Her voice crackled again, "I never meant to hurt anyone..." Her eyes, usually so lifeless, flickered with a strange, painful awareness.
Suddenly, her body jerked violently, gears grinding and a loud screech filling the air. "I'm sorry!" she screamed, her voice distorted by static. Then, the room fell silent.
Chica stood frozen, her eyes wide with sorrow. I stepped back, my heart heavy with pity and fear. I turned to leave, but her voice echoed faintly behind me.
