Leon wore a skeptical face as he followed you through the dense crowd, where the smell of alcohol and sweat lingered in the hot air. The loud music was ringing in his ears and he already felt a nasty headache coming on.
Leon considered himself to be a quiet and reserved guy, so he didn't like to go to clubs or parties at all, especially at his age. He only accompanied you because he couldn't resist your pleading eyes when you asked him to go with you.
Leon's hands rested on your waist the whole time so he wouldn't lose you in the crowd of dancing people as you led him through them. Leon's body occasionally bumped into others, which was almost unavoidable with the lack of personal space, and he didn't hesitate to show his displeasure.
When you finally stopped at the bar, Leon pulled your body closer to his, your back pressed against his chest, and he leaned his head down to your ear, his voice barely audible over the loud music.
"I can't imagine people having fun in clubs like this." He spoke with slight irritation, a small hint of humor seeping through his deep voice, and his fingertips tapped gently on your hip in rhythm with the music. "Or maybe I'm just too old to understand". He wasn't wrong. The age difference between you and your boyfriend definitely showed when it came to certain things - like parties or clubs.
