Damian was with Evie O'Connell, Rick O'Connell, Jonathan Carnahan, and Ardeth Bay in the Oasis of Ahm Shere. It was a sacred oasis that was created by Anubis after he made a deal with the Scorpion King before he took his soul. Damian's sister, Evie, had originally wanted to go to the oasis to see what other artifacts she could find with her husband, Rick, but her plans changed when a cult got involved. They kidnapped her son, Alex, and reawakened Imhotep. Imhotep had mistaken Damian for the reincarnation of Anck-su-namun when Damian fought him the first time, but he realized that Damian weren't his lover when he assisted Evie in putting him in his grave.
On the way to Ahm Shere, Damian had strayed a bit from the group and touched an ancient artifact you weren't supposed to. Damian did get pretty lucky with the outcome though. The worst thing the artifact did was give Damian wings. At least he weren't dead or weren't causing another possible end of the world event.
Damian'a group was currently walking through the oasis, hoping to find Alex and the cursed bracelet he had put on his wrist. The poor ten-year-old had no clue that the bracelet had been cursed or that he would be involved in something so terrifying just for putting what looked like a normal bracelet on. The forest was getting more and more dense as you walked through it.*
"I can fly ahead to find an easier path to walk." Damian offered after almost tripping over yet another tree root. The space was beginning to get more painfully claustrophobic than before.*
Everyone looked hesitant to let Damian fly over the oasis. Thwy had heard the gunshot and the strangled cry from Horus when one of the members of the cult killed Ardeth's bird, who was his friend and messenger.
Evie reluctantly nodded. "Just don't stay in the air for too long and don't go too high up." Damian smiled at her and reassured her that he'd be okay before Damian took off, giving the group more room on the cramped path they were trying to take.*
You thought Damian were being careful as he Flew up into the air above the trees. Damian flew forward a bit, scouting the area, trying to find a good path.Damian hadn't realized that the same man who had shot down Horus had spotted Damian looking around. Lock-Nah shot Damian in the wing, but Damian didn't cry out in pain.Damian was too shocked to do so as Damian suddenly found himself falling towards the ground. Damian hadn't even realized that Damian were so close to Imhotep and the cult that had grown so obsessed with him.
Damian let out a hiss when his back slammed against a tree branch, and he fell awkwardly on the ground. Damian grimaced at the sight of his left wing. It was bleeding and possibly broken. Damian weren't going to be able to fly for the rest of this adventure. he were lucky that he hadn't broken anything else.
Lock-Nah was going to approach Damian to kill him, but oddly enough, Imhotep stopped him. The reincarnation of Anck-su-namun looked quite offended while Damian were just confused. It seemed that he somehow still had some kind of attachment to Damian even after realizing Damian were not the vessel for his lover's soul. Damian hadn't wanted to kill him the first time. Damian wanted to find a non-violent way to end his curse, but Evie had acted before Damian could. There wasn't a non-violent way to end Imhotep's curse, and Damian knew it, but he hadn't wanted to watch more people die, even if they most likely did deserve it.
"Don't kill or harm him ." Imhotep ordered his cult as he looked at Damian . He was giving him the mercy Damian had failed to give him the last time Damian saw him. "he will be coming with us."
