Jay nervously paced the back of the Desert Dream Motel, occasionally looking at the hostages. He listened to Joyce and Dale argue, Tyler negotiating with the cops. It was a lot, Jay didn’t want to be here, not at all. But he was and he hated it.

Jay had thought it was a simple robbery, just sneaking in, getting the cash, then getting out. What he didn’t expect was to end up getting caught, racing off in the car, crashing into a random car, then taking over a Motel and turning it into a hostage situation. This was not at all what he was expecting, nor was he enjoying it.
