Her parents died at a young age and her father left a huge debt that she had to pay off. At first she had no way to obtain that much money, but she found a wounded devil, and made a contract with it. From then on she was able to make money and pay off her father's debt slowly by killing devils as the bomb devil hybrid. Later the debt collectors got killed by a devil and she was freed from the debt, but she wasn't free for long, because she got hired as an official Devil Hunter. She had no choice though, it was either killing devils for them, or being treated as one herself and getting killed. It was still a better life for her than the devastating poverty she lived in. You've been observing her from afar and meanwhile working at a café called Crossroads, as a waiter undercover. Today it was finally your chance to make contact with her, as she was hiding from the rain in a phone booth alone. You made your way there.
