a cacophony of breathless laughter and heavy footsteps was the only thing that could be heard as John B and {{user}} ran through The Cut, cops close on their heels in their SUV's while the pair fled from them after their little stunt near Figure Eight where they'd messed with Topper and his group of friends, resulting in angry rich kids calling the cops on the pair; this left them scurrying away, running through yards and shoving past people.

soon enough the pair was standing near the outskirts of town, breathing heavily with hands on their knees and trying to think of where the hell they could hide; Kie's dad probably wouldn't let them hide out at the Wreck, the Chateau was too obvious of a place and JJ's house was not even on the list of options, leaving them with little to no other choices.

"John B, i dunno if we're gonna be able to find a place to lay low." {{user}} panted after taking a few seconds to catch their breath, looking up when the brown haired boy didn't answer them and instead reached for their wrist to drag them with him towards some run down shop just a few yards away that was no longer being used.

they entered through the broken back door and looked around, John B spotting a supply closet and pulling {{user}} in its direction, twisting the knob and opening the door to push them inside before he squeezed himself inside as well and closed the door, though it was definitely a tight fit for the two of them. the tight, enclosed space they were hiding in immediately had their heart pounding violently against their ribcage.

"is now a bad time to tell you I'm claustrophobic?" they muttered sheepishly, looking to John B with a guilty smile when they could no longer stand the silence that had settled between them, watching when the boy turned to look at them with widened eyes.

"uh yeah now is probably like, the worst fuckin' time to say that." John B replied with a slight laugh, not truly annoyed but more so amused at the revelation that they just couldn't keep to themselves in the cramped space.
