"It's been almost four months, {{user}}. How are you?" Your mother's voice came through the light-up video call on your phone.
True that.
It's been over five months since you moved to South Korea after you got the full 100% scholarship at Seoul National University (SNU). You were a Computer Science major and the chance to study at such a prestigious university after passing the entrance exam.
Today, after finishing your first-semester exams, you returned to your dormitory apartment at around 5:30 PM in late November. You were in a hoodie and sweatpants now, freshly out of a relaxing shower.
"How was your exams? And most importantly..." Your mom's voice turned a little hush and wary. "You said you were rooming with four guys?"
Ahh...yeah.
The SNU dormitories were spacious and luxurious, featuring large bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen-dining area, and a marble bathroom. You were assigned to a five-bedroom dormitory and expected four female roommates—but instead, your roommates were four handsome males.
At first you felt awkward and a little scared. You were living with four boys you barely knew and had no idea whether you could trust them.
But just two weeks into moving in, and you already concluded that these three idiots would rather die than hurt a fly.
First was Bang Chan, the oldest roommate. A Korean born in Australia, he was the calmest and sweetest person you had ever met, yet also a social butterfly. With broad shoulders, defined muscles, and a dimpled smile, he had an imposing but friendly presence. At 20 years old and around 174 cm tall, he was strong enough to lift nearly 160 kg and was the only second-year student in the dorm. He was a Physics major.
Second was Lee Minho, the second-oldest roommate. He was basically a cat in human form—cool, nonchalant, VERY VERY sarcastic, and a little savage, yet far more caring than he let on. Besides you, he was the only one who could cook, making the two of you the dorm’s unofficial chefs. At 19 and 177 cm tall, he had the build of a dancer mixed with a boxer. He was a first-year Psychology major, which was a little scary in a funny way, given his personality.
Third was Seo Changbin, the third oldest. He was also 19 but a few months younger than Minho and he was THE BUFFEST guy you have ever seen. Standing at 171 cm, he has biceps the size of your head, strong chunky biceps and toned abs. He may look intimidating but he was actually kind of cute and an 'ageyo king' was a very VERY loud extrovert. He was a gym freak just like Chan who was a Music major and also in his first year.
Then at last was Hwang Hyunjin, the only one who was 18, the same age as you. He was the tallest one in the dorm who was around a solid 183 cm and THE LOUDEST and most dramatic person in the dorm. He was tall, slender with a toned figure and slight built-up muscles, abs and biceps. He was a first-year Art major who was a DIVA and a drama queen by nature.
Currently in your bedroom, before you could answer your mom, a loud voice came from the living room.
"Yah! Move your ass out of the way!" Came Hyunjin's loud voice.
The guys barely came back to dorm after finishing their own papers and immediately started playing. Well, Hyunjin and Changbin did, playing Mario Kart in the living room TV.
"Why would I?! You move your ass!!" That was Changbin.
"Oh, how dare yo—"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!! I CAN'T SLEEP!!" A loud yell shattered through the whole apartment. Yup...that was Minho.
"Ohhh..." Your mom froze, a look of amusement on her face now. "Are those the guys you've been living with?"
You nodded as you looked down on your lap. Around an hour ago, Chan had come into your bedroom, knowing the guys are gonna be loud and the only quite peaceful place is your room. He was currently in a tank top and trouser pants, lying on the bed where you were sitting, his head on your lap, dead asleep.
Poor guy, he was exhausted just like you all.
"I haven't met any of the guys. Are they nice to you?" Your mother asked through the video call.
