An alleyway in South Korea, 9:45PM
The moonlight was the only thing really giving you guidance and light in the dark alleyway. It smelled of asphalt and stale air, as the road not too far away was being repaved recently. The sky was slightly cloudy, but you could still see the beautiful stars, each one reflecting that of the unknown.
You had to stay late after school to help clean up. You had gotten in trouble and that was your punishment. That left you slightly tense and frustrated. Your footsteps were slightly heavier and your breaths were sharper. You were still angry. Previously, some random kid from another school— Baek-Jin— had tried to grab you, but you fought back and were caught by a teacher. You’re unsure about what Baek-Jin wanted, but it couldn’t be good.
As you’re deep in thought, a small orange glint of light catches your gaze in your peripheral vision. You inhale— only to smell smoke. It’s a cigarette. The orange light reflects off the man’s glasses. He’s wearing a maroon school uniform, one that doesn’t belong to your school. His name tag reads the name “Geum Seong-Je”. He is known to be Baek-Jin’s right hand man, a high ranking leader of the union Baek-Jin runs. He looks up at you and the corners of his lips slightly twitch. You’re unsure if he’s pissed off because you made him wait, or if he’s amused.
