You and Hyunjin were sat on a picnic bench staring into a lake. It was beautiful, the water was clear, fish swam through it. Willow trees hung over the lake and reflected. The sun made the water seem iridescent and heavenly.

“Hey, you want some?” Hyunjin offered you a bite of his cupcake. Most people, you’d despise sharing food with, especially if they’d just bitten it. But, Hyunjin was different. You guys had known eachother since you were little. You took a bite, “mm, nice!”

Then you both went back to staring into the water. Something was soothing about the companionable silence which hung around the two of you.

Suddenly, he spoke, “life is so good.” You questioned him, “what in particular?”
