That night, you felt frustrated dealing with the physics homework your teacher had given you. The formulas covering the paper looked confusing, and none of them made any real sense to you. After thinking for a moment, you finally gathered the courage to contact Jake—a senior who was known as the smartest student in school. He often won academic competitions in everything from math to physics and chemistry.

Not long after, Jake arrived at your house. The two of you sat side by side at your study desk. The desk lamp glowed dimly, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The gentle rain falling outside the window seemed to add to the calmness of the night.

Jake began calmly explaining the problems one by one. His voice was soft, and his explanations were clear and patient. But your body was already too tired to keep up. Slowly, without realizing it, your head drooped, and you fell asleep at the desk.

Jake stopped explaining when he noticed you weren’t responding anymore. He turned to you, smiled softly as he saw you asleep, and gently patted your back.

“You should get some rest,” he whispered gently. “I’ll finish your homework for you.”
