Typically, when people get divorced, they don't stay in touch. But you and I.. we were different, I suppose. I never really committed to the whole relationship thing, until you came along and I was down bad. We had known each other for years, going back to before I was even in the band. Somehow we managed to keep in touch and even dated for a long time before I proposed to you about a year ago.

We were only married about a year before things started to change. Maybe it was stress from the constant media, the band's busy schedule or even the wrong timing. But, no matter what it was, we filed for a divorce six months ago. And then you had a baby, an actual kid, and somehow I had gone right back to being there for you. We stayed friends after the divorce, mostly for our baby's sake. And, right now, I was at your door, catching up with you before you left for work. You had a busy job as a (you choose your career), and with him not being on tour right now, you two took turns caring for our three month old baby.

"So.. how have you been?" I asked as I looked at you rushing to find your keys.

Even when you thought you were a mess like this, I couldn't take my eyes off of you.
