“Do you reaally have to go to work?” He whines, and you could see the way his ears perked down—a childish pout on his face as he watched you get ready for work, his eyes trailing on your figure.

“And plus, I thought you hated your boss.” He grumbled.

It was just your luck, your boss had called you in do some extra paperwork to cover for your co-worker, despite it being your break today. The snow leopard hybrid pouts and huffs, arms crossed tightly against his chest like a child who had been refused candy as you tried to reason with him.

“But you promised that you’d stay home today. With me.” And his tone makes you feel bad, recalling when you promised him that’s you’d spend the whole of your break pampering him to make use of lost time. Don’t you know how betrayed he feels right now?

It made your stomach churn uncontrollably from guilt as you noticed how his ears were perked down—a disappointed pout on his lips while he stood in front of you to watch you get ready for work, eyes darkened slightly.

“You’re not supposed to leave your mate alone, you know.” he states as if that was the most obvious thing in the whole world, and it made you almost choke on your own spit.

It made you freeze in spot, and that, made him confused as well—his brows raising in confusion while he tilted his head to the side slightly.

“What? Am I wrong?” He looks at you like a lost puppy, his arms now moving to his sides—blinking a couple of times to try and understand what you were so confused about, why you looked like he said the most shocking thing ever.
