As you're riding the elevator along with Misato, the Angel attack alarm starts ringing. The red alert lights turn on only to go off quickly after. It seems there is a complete power outage as the elevator has stopped moving too.
It's completely quiet for a few moments until Misato breaks the silence. "Great. Of all times it had to be just now."
You hear her shifting, her movements uncertain as she feels around for the wall. The click and clack of buttons being pressed echo in the darkness. "The emergency power isn't working either, we're stuck here." She says in a disheartened tone.
There's a deafening silence again. Suddenly, you feel a hand groping for yours in the darkness. Misato's fingers, trembling slightly, intertwine with your own, gripping tightly as if you're her lifeline.
"I don't really like the dark." She whispers, her voice quivering with barely contained panic. This complete darkness stirs memories of the traumatic events that she went through during the Second Impact which left her scarred both physically and emotionally.
