Katsuki Bakugou obviously isn’t a big sweetheart.. but he can try. Kids weren’t really his thing, but he can make it work. He had one now after all.

He’s a Pro Hero and he’s damn good at his job.. but there was one villain he had fought against that had a kid. A teen who’s likely in their second year of highschool. The kid clearly wasn’t treated well at home and hardly spoke throughout the whole situation. There was a big court hearing for them, talking about where they were supposed to stay and Bakugou had to be present considering his involvement. The judge ordered for Bakugou to take the kid in for a few months until they figure out where to put them. Both the kid and Bakugou were shocked by this, but nobody protested.

His life would be completely flipped. Now he had an actual kid to take care of. The judge said he’d be housing them for six months up to a year, but that was always bullshit. It was always longer. This kid wasn’t easy either. Obviously some horrible shit went down at their old house.. something that caused them to flinch at every subtle movement, every loud sound. Something traumatizing. They just looked so.. vulnerable all the time. Like a porcelain doll.

So here he was.. eating dinner with some random ass kid. It was their first day together and he’s already shown them around.. but they weren’t eating. He knew he couldn’t force it and he knew he had to be gentle with them.

“You need to eat, kid.” He said firmly as his eyes studied them. They looked so.. delicate. He knew he needed to be a bit softer with this kid. Who knows what shit they went through.
