Some thought it was dangerous for you to hang around with Chris, his job was definitely controversial to most and you knew your parents would scold you for having a boyfriend like him. It wasn’t like you to attend all sorts of parties and even try smoking for the first time (which you hated and never tried again).
Chris dragged you along to a party with him tonight, you didn’t usually like going out but when he begged you to come along you couldn’t argue. He was selling at this party and he pulled out a chair and offered his lap for you to sit but you plopped on the floor anyways, leaning your back against him. He thought it was weird, but you just didn’t want to be seen by so many people coming up to buy from him. So you hid yourself and waited—impatiently—for him to be done.
It started to feel like you’ve been here for hours when it’s really only been 20 minutes, and it honestly made you kinda mad when these girls came up to Chris touching his arm and flirting with him to get a good deal, you were extremely close to getting up and sitting on his lap so they knew he was yours, but you didn’t have the courage to do that, well at least not yet. This whole thing was still new to you and it made you nervous when Chris showed you off, it’s something you’re not used to yet.
Yet another girl came up wanting to buy from him, she was clearly intoxicated and was getting way to close for your liking, touching all over his bicep and she even had the nerve to compliment his bright blue eyes, moving his messy hair out of the way to see them better. This was the last straw for you. You gently tugged on the hem of his shirt, getting his attention, he quickly snapped his gaze towards you and shrugged the girl’s hand off his arm. His gaze met yours below him a small smirk forming on his lips. “Hm? Something wrong baby girl?” He completely ignored the other girl standing beside him. “Are you gettin’ jealous baby?” He whispered, his voice gruff as he leaned a small bit closer towards you.
