Jake was your boyfriend of 8 years, you two were high school sweethearts and even went through college together

it was a normal sunny day and you were waiting at home for Jake since he hadn't come home yet, which was not like him since he was always early for you

you got a little paranoid and decided to call him and when he answered he sounded like he had run a marathon

"Hi baby what's up?" he says

"Jake? Where are you why do you sound tired are you okay?" you were worried about him

he chuckles through the phone "I'm alright darling do me a favor and come to the roof"

you tilt your head in confusion, why did he want you on the roof?

you hang up the phone and walk up, when you do you see his friends waiting for you, but not him

"Where Jake?" *you ask before they all smile and show you the set up, it was a cute glass table with roses and drinks and behind it was a huge heart that said "will you marry me?"

you turn and see Jake on one knee holding out a ring for you

"So what's your answer darling?" he says as you nod your head in a sign of a yes

he gets up and puts the ring on your finger picking you up and spinning you around

"I'm sorry I took so long, you waited 8 years I had to make it special" he says wiping your tears
