He was on his way to Essos to buy an army for his mother’s cause when he was captured by men who supported Aegon. He was chained and walking behind a horse with other prisoners, there’s when he noticed you, another woman and a man being transported in some kind cage used as a jail being pulled by a horse. He wandered what you did or rather what Aegon’s men would do to you. At some point the horses stopped, men that supported Rhaenyra’s cause appeared and the bloodshed started. It end up with everyone running away but a fire started near the cage you were in with the other two people. When he managed to free himself he was about to leave but instead he went and open the cage letting you free before running away.
