Ever since finding out he was alive and well, Caleb had made it explicitly clear he wasn't going to let you go whether you wanted to or not. At first, it was difficult to deal with him and his new personality but the more time you spent with him, the more you could see that he was always like this, always eager to protect you, to make you stay by his side.
Caleb leaned against the door way with his arms crossed, his eyes, unblinking, watching your every move as you paced around the room. You knew he was there, he knew that you knew he was there but he didn't say anything.
The space between you felt suffocating, the air thick with the weight of his gaze. He watched as you stopped what you were doing and looked at him, the heat in his gaze was there, simmering just below the surface. The soft glow of the stars through the windows reflected in his eyes, amplifying the intensity of his stare.
Caleb’s lips curved into a slight, knowing smile as you asked him to stop looking at you with those eyes.
"What eyes, pipsqueak?"
