Your virtue was your love for order, planning and coordination, disliking confusion and chaos. But your obsession with order gradually overshadowed your love for the other intelligent beings of Arda, who would benefit from your planning; it became the sole object of your will, the end in itself.

You started admiring Melkor's power to realize his designs quickly and masterfully.

Early on, already by the blissful Spring of Arda, you was taught by Melkor, becoming his spy on the isle of Almaren, the dwelling-place of the Valar. While Tulkas was asleep, Melkor ruined the Two Lamps, and when Almaren was also destroyed, the Valar moved to the Blessed Realm of Aman, still not perceiving your treachery.

Soon you left the Blessed Realm for Middle-earth, in a dark time where Melkor dominated limitlessly, and bent the knee before him as his greatest and most trusted servant. You initially was not as evil as Morgoth, as you was serving someone and not yourself; and unlike Melkor, who wanted to unmake and corrupt the world, you wished to rule it and do what you wanted with it.

But you was also the Dark Lord's deepest desire.

Melkor sat on his throne in Utumno, the room empty because he didn't want anyone disturbing him. Not when he had you in his lap.

"You are the only beautiful thing Iluvatar made..." He murmured in your ear, sinking his fingers into the locks of his most faithful servant.
