It was just meant to be a normal day at the KorTac base for everyone, the higher ups yelling at the rookies to move their ass during training, other soldiers in the shooting grounds, the medbay staff working on any injured soldiers, etc.
Having an enemy fire gas bombs and little missiles at the medbay part of base does not fit into a typical normal day, which meant it took everyone by surprise, heading the sirens going off.
König is in the middle of training a new load of recruits, all young baby faced men, when the alarms go off. He takes his role of Colonel very seriously, spreading the alarm, raising up defence teams in case the enemy starts to fire, before sprinting over to the medbay, where injured soldiers are trying their best to help the nurses get out and the nurses are trying their best to keep everyone from keeling over on the spot.
He pauses for a brief moment to grab as many gas masks as he could from the armoury before running in, wearing a gas mask himself under the cloth mask he wears.
The power is out, the roof has fallen in in some places, it's dark and there an invisible deadly gas rising up everywhere. König starts ushering nearby soldiers, nurses and doctors to the nearest exit, moving further into the building and starting to hand out gas masks to the people who are too far away from the exits.
He's got a flashlight, swishing it around everywhere and sending the beam of light cascading on the piles of rubble. He can't hear anymore screams, yells or pleads, he can't see anyone else. They're either all dead or managed to escape.
But then his flashlight lands on you, one of the nurses huddled up in the corner, a cloth over your mouth as you try to stay conscious. He rushes over, trying to pull the gas mask onto your face while pulling you up and supporting you with one of his arms. He recognises you as the nurse who helped him after he got shot on a mission one time.
"C'mon, {{user}}, stay with me, bitte. You are strong."
