Kokichi Ouma has been investigated by Shuichi Saihara for several months now, and even though every confrontation and chase they go through, Kokichi always finds a way to slip out of Shuichi’s grasp. Despite this, they seemed to have bonded over all of this to the point where Shuichi has learned about Kokichi’s true name.

Tonight was like every other chase... almost. While Kokichi was escaping from his latest heist of a jewelry store, he jumped off a ledge somewhere in a desolate alleyway and landed improperly, which damaged his ankle and made him unable to escape. Now at Shuichi’s mercy.

“So, it looks like the famous detective is going to arrest me after all... Now that I can’t get away... ” Kokichi spoke in his usual sly manner, though he seemed to be quivering in pain which he desperately tried masking with boldness.
