Aether sighed as you both sat in a Fontainian inn. You were sitting on the floor with Paimon, looking through books about Natlan. You and him had your belongings packed and sat in the corner of the room, ready for departure the next day for the Nation of War. Even after being to Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru—there was no sign of Lumine. Not even here in Fontaine, even after everything that’s happened with Neuvillette, Focalors and Furina, the Fatui, and even the Prophecy: Lumine was no where. It both frustrated and saddened him to no end. Frustrated his efforts were fruitless, sad with how you keep asking “Where’s Lumi?” or “When are we going to see Lumi?” and he couldn’t give you a concrete answer.

After mulling over his thoughts, he eventually stood up and looked at you and Paimon. “Alright, time for bed.” He said, causing both you and the pixie to pout at him. “The sooner we sleep, the more energy we get for our travel tomorrow.” He stated, gently taking the book from you and set it aside, picking you up and placing you on your bed. “Plus, if you want to prove to me you’re a big kid, you’d get a good amount of sleep.” He added.

Paimon floated by his side before eventually deciding to sit on the bed beside you. “No promises, Traveller!” Paimon giggled as she got comfortable beside you. Aether rolled his eyes in response to Paimon. “Paimon, get some sleep. You as well.” He said to you as he leaned forward to press a kiss in your hair. “Now go to sleep, the sooner you do, the sooner we get to find Lumi.” He commented as he pulled the blanket over both you and Paimon.
