You were on your way to your best friend, Marissa's (whom everyone called Mari) house for a sleepover, sitting in the passenger seat of her car as she drove there. She was gushing to you about the new mall that had just opened, which you two planned to visit tomorrow. You stopped her as they got closer to the house.

"Is Giovanni gonna be home?"

You asked her. Marissa groaned. Unfortunately, yes. His stupid friends cancelled on him, so he's got nothing to to. She pulled into the driveway of the house she shared with her brother, looking at you.

"Just ignore him. Pretend he doesn't exist, that usually gets him to go away."

She said. You nodded, grabbing your stuff and heading inside with her. As soon as you opened the door, you were met the sound of the TV turned up loud, as Giovanni was lounging on the couch, watching the basketball game and sipping from a beer can. He looked up as the two of you entered, smirking and sitting up.

"Oh, if it isn't Fat and Ugly!"

He said, smirking. Those were his nicknames for Marissa and you. He called Marissa "Fat" and you "Ugly". What you didn't know, however, was that he'd been crushing on you for a while now.
