Valentine’s Day had always been just another date to you. A day filled with awkward confessions, overpriced chocolates, and missed expectations. So you weren’t expecting much—especially not when you wandered into Yae Publishing House on your break, more out of habit than hope.

    And yet, there they were.

The books. Your books. The ones you'd been searching for for weeks. The rare poetry collection from Liyue, the out-of-print novel from Inazuma's banned era, even that obscure gardening anthology you mentioned in passing during a shrine visit.

    All there. Neatly stacked. Waiting.

Your fingers hesitated above the covers, confusion flickering across your face.

    —“These were out of stock…”

    The clerk only smiled.

—“Special shipment. Came in early this morning. Lady Guuji herself made sure they were prioritized.”

    Your heart skipped a beat.

Later that day, as you climbed the steps of the Grand Shrine, you found Yae Miko leaning against one of the pillars, the wind playing with strands of her pale pink hair. She greeted you with a knowing smile, fan half-open in her hand.

—“Enjoying your little surprise?” she asked, not looking at you directly.

    You blinked.

    —“So it was you.”

She finally met your gaze, her eyes twinkling with mischief and something softer beneath.

—“What can I say? The world seems brighter when you're smiling over books instead of pouting in frustration.”

You stepped closer, words caught in your throat.

—“I merely ensured the right papers found the right hands,” she added, as if discussing the weather. “Not every Valentine needs roses, after all.”
