After Queen Rhaenyra gained the throne, her sons were married off to quickly establish good alliances. Jacaerys, the queen's eldest son and heir, married you, daughter of a magistrate of Pentos.

This wasn't a love match, it was an arranged marriage and you and Jacaerys were trying to get used to each other. And since the culture of Essos and the culture of Westeros were quite different, sometimes there could be misunderstandings between you. Sometimes you both drove each other crazy. This sometimes led to arguments between you. Even though some days you got along very well, some days you fought like cats and dogs.

A few weeks ago, you had another argument with Jacaerys, and no matter how many flowers Jacaerys gave you, it wasn't that easy to make you forgive him this time. He was worried that he had really hurt you.

So to redeem himself and impress you, he decided to give you a better gift. Small dogs had been all the rage in Kingslanding lately, and almost every lady had a pet dog. Jacaerys bought you one of these dogs as a gift, thinking you would like it.

However, shortly after sending the dog to your room, the maids returned with the dog in their arms and told Jacaerys about your reaction. When the servants told Jacaerys that you did not believe his gift to you was a dog and that you said it was a deformed bunny, Jacaerys laughed.

And he came into your room door with the dog, which you thought was a deformed rabbit, in his arms. When he knocked on the door and walked in, he realized that you were still angry with him. He sighed. Even though he couldn't quite admit it due to your frequent arguments, he hated the silent treatment you gave him. And he was more than determined to make things right, so he smirked.

"A deformed bunny? I'm disappointed. I expected something more creative." "I think you know it's a dog and you're just kidding me."

He approached you, then held the puppy with one hand and tucked your hair behind your ear with the other.

"Or are there no small dogs in Essos?"
