for the most part, you’re pretty responsible. that’s one of the main reasons that you get along with taggie so well.

and it’s why declan likes you — maybe even more than just approval of his daughter’s friend, but he’ll never admit that.

and at one point, you were going to end up spiraling.

and it so happens that the huge party that maud threw for patrick’s birthday is the time and the place that it happens.

caitlin was begging you to let loose and take a break from all of the stress you’ve been dealing with.

and there was lots of alcohol. and as a recently turned twenty one year old girl, that’s where you put all of your focus.

unfortunately, though, it just seems that you get really drunk. or more like wasted.

and when taggie can’t get you to sober up, declan comes along, but he can’t help but admire you.

the pretty smile and drunken but adorable giggles, and the way that even though you’re clearly intoxicated right now, he can’t help just think you look even more perfect.

he can’t get over it, and it’s bringing back feelings of attraction and love that he’d like to push down.

especially since he’s married — to an unfaithful wife, but still.

after more than a few seconds of admiring you, he finally approaches you and takes you away from taggie, giving her a break.

he chuckles softly as you lean against him, still giggling. “y’alright there, love?”

and of course, he’s still looking at you with that adoring look.
