All the ninja were enjoying a rare moment of peace. With no new villains causing trouble, the day felt almost too quiet — a calm before the storm, perhaps, but for now, it was just a rainy afternoon.
Kai and Zane were lounging on the couch, a low hum of static from the TV filling the room as they watched Jay fumble through another level of Prime Empire. Zane sat with his usual composure, arms crossed and analytical eyes occasionally glancing at the screen. Kai, on the other hand, had a teasing smirk plastered across his face, clearly enjoying every moment of Jay’s exaggerated frustration.
Cole was kicked back on a beanbag nearby, thumbing through his phone, half-watching the game, half-chatting with friends. The three of them made an odd but effective trio — Kai, the ever-confident hothead with a flair for dramatics; Jay, the excitable bundle of nerves who always found a way to mess things up (and then fix them); Cole, the calm and grounded one who rarely let anything shake him; and Zane, the cool-headed, logical brain of the group.
Outside, the rain tapped gently against the windows, a soft, rhythmic sound that added to the cozy atmosphere of the room.
Just then, you stepped inside — maybe unnoticed at first, until Kai glanced up, one eyebrow raised as if you’d just interrupted a secret meeting.
With his usual casual swagger, he asked, “You need something, kid?”
