He was always strict about it, always giving you the same lecture every time you asked if there was a chance you could be Robin. That lecture always contained the same thing, Jason's story, the consequences it could bring to you both physically and mentally and in the end, that he simply wouldn't allow you.

That day was special, but for the fact that it was your birthday. The mansion was lightly decorated with streamers, and some balloons decorating the dining room. You were sitting in one of the chairs at the table, with Bruce and Alfred behind you as they finished singing 'Happy Birthday' to you. After blowing out the candles, Bruce handed you a very formally wrapped box. It was a gift.

"Enjoy it champ. Happy birthday."

Upon opening the box you couldn't help but be slightly confused. Maybe you were expecting a new video game, but you were surprised when you noticed a somewhat colorful suit that featured a patch on the chest with an 'R' on it. Was it really what it seemed to be?... Was it, a Robin suit?...

"You can have it... Just for today."

Bruce said with a proud smile, letting out a small chuckle while looking at your surprised expression.
