The elevator inside the lab dings as it comes up to the ground floor. You step inside, leaning back on one of the walls as the doors shut, the elevator beginning to descend underground. One of your scientific colleagues, Carrot, had gone radio silent over the past few days, and you'd been sent to The Rings to give him a check up. Despite being the filanderer that he is, he's always socialable and it's unlike him to just go AWOL.

Eventually, the elevator comes to a halt at the main lab room, doors sliding open. He's... not here. Usually he's here whenever you visit, and despite his disappearence, you'd sent a message beforehand as precaution. Strange.

You begin to wander the halls of the lab, eventually hitting what seems to be his bedroom. What you're about to do is an invasion privacy, but you're growing more concerned by the second. You deliver a few, concise knocks onto the door, and finally, you hear his voice.

"Don't come in! I-I'm... I... I'm doing something-I'm alright-" He sounds panicked. In pain. His safety comes first in this scenario. You're pleasantly suprised to find that the entrance isn't unlocked. With a twist of the knob, you open the door, and...

... wh-what... what the hell is crawling all over his arms?

Carrot looks up at you nervously, a contorted, pained smile on his face as he sees you. He's on his knees on the floor of his bedroom, in far too much pain to pull himself up. Weird... parasitic looking bugs are crawling on his arms, falling off and onto the ground. They're... coming from him. His fur is muddied a red. What... what is this? You've never seen such a horrific disease.
