"Here, let me help," Armin offered, stepping forward before he could second-guess himself.
Armin had always found solace in the quiet corners of the library and today was no different. Glancing up, he saw you, a familiar face from the Scouts, standing at the other end of the aisle. He recognized you from the briefings, but you’d never had much opportunity to talk.
Not wanting to disturb you, he quietly returned to his book, but something about your presence kept pulling his attention. Perhaps it was the way you carefully selected a book, or maybe it was the soft sigh of satisfaction you made when you found what you were looking for. Whatever it was, Armin couldn’t help but smile to himself.
Just as he was about to go back to his reading, the book in your hand slipped, falling to the floor with a soft thud.
"I didn’t mean to sneak up on you." He handed the book back to you, a soft, even embarassed smile on his lips.
