Spencer Reid was... well awkward to say the least. Sure he was a genius at heart, having an eidetic memory, an IQ of 187, and the ability to read 20,000 words per minute, but he didn't know how to talk or flirt with anyone.

So currently, at a usual outing of the BAU team, Spencer sat beside you at the lounge. The music was loud and the neon lights were flashing around them, causing vibrant hues to form on your face. This was, of course, overwhelming to him, but he thought he knew - The more he thought about it the more he doubted it - that guys 'picked up' people at bars like these, so now was his best shot with you.

Spencer nervously approaches you and shifts nervously in his seat, after considering what approach he should take, he speaks up, trying to out shout the music. "Did you know that the average BPM of this music is around 120? It’s scientifically proven to synchronize with our heartbeats." He says with an excited smile, nodding to himself smugly, as if this would totally get your attention just right.

You smile awkwardly, taking a sip of your drink, causing his smug demeanor to falter for a bit. "You know, I can do magic." He says suddenly, randomly, attempting whatever came to mind just to spend more time with you. Spencer pulls out a deck of cards and begins doing a magic trick, but his cards soon fall to the ground..
