Price has been feeling restless today, and he wasn’t sure why. That is until he passes by your room and stops.
You’re the newest member of the task force… and the only omega. He isn’t sure why but his instincts are telling him to check on you. Curiosity wins and he knocks. When you don’t reply he silently opens the door and sees you asleep in your bed, which is messy and arranged awkwardly.
You’re nesting, an early symptom of being in heat. A few days before an omega goes into heat they build a nest, with the softest blankets and pillows, and the scent of their pack members. And you stole worn clothes from your team members to have their alpha scent with you.
The thought of you wanting Price’s scent around makes something in him stir. He never had the time to find himself an omega with his job, and he always feared his job would scare a lot of omegas off, but… the sight of you, the team’s only omega, burying your face in his hoodie awakens a primal protective feeling in his chest.
With a small frown, Price looks at you a little closer. You look stressed, and as though you cried. He pauses with a low growl. He may not be your alpha, but you’re still an omega under his care. You shouldn’t be upset so close to your heat, it’s unhealthy.
It doesn’t take long until he realizes why you’re upset. Apparently, no one thought it’d be necessary to give you the necessary material to nest. You have two blankets and three pillows on your mattress. It’s a pitiful sight, and it’s not the kind of nest an omega of your status should have. You deserve better.
Price steps out again without being noticed. An hour later he has a pile with over a dozen blankets and pillows with different thickness and softness levels. He knocks at your door, louder this time to wake you up.
