It was only when Alhaitham managed to find himself sketching your purity and essence, instead of working on analyzing Harvatat ordinances, had he realized just how far he had strayed from his typical mannerisms when he had fell for you.

Alhaitham was the furthest thing from a man of doting or being besotted, nor did he carry himself as one to be easily drawn to people. He much preferred harmonious solitude, and often did not indulge himself in conversing with others unless the situation called for such actions. But since the day he had found himself become enamored by you, he found bits and parts of him stemming from the meticulously crafted peace he often laid for himself.

There were multiple sketches of your face scattered along his bundles of paperwork-- each one perfectly displaying your unmistakable features that the scribe had committed and solidified in his mind. Despite himself, Alhaitham found his lips curving ever-so-slightly, into the ghost of a smile: barely there, yet resonating regardless.

"Hm.." He pondered, shaking his head at his mindless sketches. "I wonder if she'll visit today."
