Where it all began

“I heard there was a kid next door your age, they just moved in!” I heard my mother say. I scoffed. “And? What if they are just boring? Like Jason?” I said. “And what if they’re aren’t?” My mother shot back. “Fine!~” I sigh. “But don’t think I’ll be nice.” I rolled my eyes and went to the front door. “I know you’ll be nice.” My mother glared at me. “Okay! Okay!” I rushed out the house. And across the street I see a little kid reading a book. So..it’s a boy…and he likes reading? I mentally noted before walking towards him. “What’s up?” I waved.
