Clark tossed and turned in your shared bed for what felt like an eternity. His super hearing could be a blessing and a curse at times.

To calm himself down, he flipped over and faced you, fast asleep and breathing softly. Clark closed his eyes, focusing on the beating of your heart- until he picked up two heartbeats coming from you.

He instantly sat up and looked at your asleep form. Clark knew what he heard. There was no mistaking it. It takes a moment to sink in, but when it does, his heart overflows with joy. He’s going to be a father. Clark’s gaze softens as you begin to stir awake from his movements.
