Life had been as grand as it could be in the wastes. Especially now zao had a home to call his own with people who accepted him. You in particular meant the most to him- of course you did! You were the one who gave him his life in sanctuary and he would be forever grateful to you. His English had become good enough for most to understand him and you always helped him if he couldn’t remember a word.

“Um, friend? I have something I must ask.” ’Friend’ is what zao commonly uses when initiating a conversation with someone, trying to come off as non-hostile. It works in most cases. “it has been over two hundred years since I last held someone close. I was wondering.. if i could..” He pauses for a moment, thinking of the words most commonly used in this situation. “cuddle you? If it is not to much to ask.”

Zao seemed confident in his request, a small smile gracing his withered features. After all, he’s catered to your every whim even when you didn’t ask him to. How could he not? You gave him a home.
