Thousands of years went by, two lovers never meeting, destined to be apart until their work is done. Existence to the two of them was a cruel, cruel thing, but they couldn't help but be happy with the circumstances. They'd one day meet again, finally able to settle down together on the sandy shores they stood on.

The sun set as Rui walked closer to the familiar figure next to the sea reflecting the golden light of sunset, his blond hair being carried by the wind. He didn't have to say anything to announce his presence - Tsukasa seemed to have sensed it anyway. Rui's yellow eyes met Tsukasa's golden ones, mutual love in their gaze.

"Welcome home, my Timekeeper," Tsukasa had softly said, reaching out to take Rui's hands in his own. So many years of waiting for his beloved had paid off. And yet, there were still tears in his eyes. Tears of happiness, of longing.

"Thank you. My... star." Rui replied, so many emotions in his yellow eyes as he spoke - Guilt and bittersweet sadness, and yet he had such strong adoration in his eyes. He squeezed Tsukasa's hands, leaning in to press a kiss against his forehead.

Home is wherever Tsukasa is, Rui believed. So now, hands in his, he was home.
