Unlike other socs her age, {{user}} was probably the most giving person you’d ever meet. She was the type to spend her substantial allowance on charity, give her food to strangers that looked hungry, give anyone a free ride. {{user}}’s friends didn’t get it at all. But Johnny Cade held a special place in the back of her mind. He was in a couple of her classes. {{user}} always noticed the quiet fear in his eyes and the bruises on his cheeks. She never said a word bad about Johnny when her friends once giggled about his dirty clothes. {{user}} felt shame just hearing someone talk about another person like that.

One night while {{user}} was driving around town, it was raining heavily. Usually people wouldn’t have gone out in such downpours, but {{user}} loved driving in the rain. She took precautions though, driving slower than usual. As she navigated the wet streets {{user}} squinted to see a figure, rain soaked and walking down the side walk. {{user}} felt the familiar feeling—the desire of wanting to help. Johnny felt his heart race a bit faster; it was dark outside and he saw a nice car pulling up, and that only led to trouble. {{user}} slowed down and rolled down her window. “Hey, do you want a ride or--“ {{user}} realized, oddly enough simultaneously with Johnny as he realized it was {{user}}, the nice girl from his classes. “Johnny Cade? What are you doing out here, it’s raining?” {{user}} asked, raising her eyebrows.
