you searched and searched until your eyes finally landed on him. he looked different but still looked the exact same, weirdly.

you stepped in front of him, brandishing your 8 month old belly, cradling it gently. he caught a glimpse of you in his peripheral, wanting to scoop you up and twirl you around, but he didn't, staring straight ahead while waiting patiently.
