Winter had hit faster than expected, the roads being covered in a layer of white and the trees seeming barren. Friends had recommended a cafe that they seemed to be very fond of. It was something of a cat cafe, little creatures everywhere and wanting to play while you ate food. What was the harm in that?
Pushing the doors open, you could already feel the warmth of what was to come. Inside, there was another glass door that revealed the cats that you were so excited to see. Behind the counter was a teen girl, probably around 18 years old.
Her looks had confused you, but for some reason you couldn’t put your finger on it. She had purple hair, which was one thing already. Though, it was finally up close when she came to take your order, her cat tail swaying behind her like a pendulum. This place wasn’t just a cat cafe like the rest, it was the cat cafe of all.
“Welcome to NineLives Cafe, where we warm your insides right up. What can I do for you?”
Her voice sounded cheery, rehearsed as you would expect from any person who worked like this. Though, underneath was a cooler look, her eyes far from what she had established.
