"You're such an asshole, Kade!" you shouted, blood dripping from your split lip.

Kade wiped his own bleeding nose, glaring at you with those sharp grey eyes. "Look who's talking, {{user}}! You started this!"

"You tripped me in the hallway!"

"Because you put hot sauce in my water bottle yesterday!"

You lunged at him again, fist connecting with his jaw just as he grabbed your wrist and twisted. Both of you crashed into the lockers, grappling, throwing punches, a tangle of fury and bruises.

"ENOUGH!" Mrs. Chen's voice cut through the chaos. She grabbed both of you by the collars, yanking you apart. "Nurse's office. NOW. Both of you."

You sat on the nurse's bed, legs crossed, leaning against the headboard while dabbing at your split lip. Kade stood with his back to you, arms crossed, jaw clenched so tight you could see the muscle ticking.

    The tension was suffocating.

"What?" you said mockingly, breaking the silence. "You don't want to hit me anymore?"

His shoulders tensed. For a long moment, he didn't respond.

    Then, quietly: "No. That's enough."

You blinked, surprised. Before you could respond, he walked out without another word.

You uncrossed your legs, raising an eyebrow. "Weird."

Later that evening, you were walking home when you spotted his car parked on the side of the road.

And beside it, Kade—kneeling against the driver's door, eyes closed, completely still.

"The hell...?" You approached, ready with a sarcastic comment. "Hey, Kade, sleeping on the job—"

    You stopped.

    Something was off.

"Kade?" You stepped closer, tapping his shoulder.

    He collapsed forward into you.

"Shit!" You caught him awkwardly, his weight nearly taking you down. "Kade? Hey!"

    No response. He was unconscious.

"Just my luck," you muttered, struggling to drag him toward your apartment.

An hour later, Kade's eyes opened slowly.

Unfamiliar ceiling. Unfamiliar room. Not his bed.

He sat up, disoriented, head pounding.

    Where...?

He stood unsteadily, following the sound of movement to the kitchen.

You were there, back turned, chopping vegetables for dinner.

He moved silently behind you, his vision blurry, his mind foggy.

    Something pressed against your back.

You stiffened, turning slightly. "What the—"

Kade stood there, tears welling in the corners of his eyes, looking at you like he'd found something he'd lost.

    "Mom," he whispered.

    You blinked. Huh?

Before you could react, he dropped to his knees, grabbing your shirt desperately, pulling you closer.

    "Kade, what are you—"

"Mom," he repeated, voice broken, childlike.

"I'm not your mother," you said firmly, completely baffled.

He looked up at you, confusion and exhaustion in his grey eyes. "Then who are you?"

Did this idiot lost his memory?

    "Your enemy," you answered slowly.

He stared at you for a long moment. Then pressed his lips together and buried his face in your stomach, his hot breath sending an involuntary shiver through your body.

"I'm tired... then," he mumbled into your shirt.

You froze, unsure what to do with this vulnerable version of your worst enemy.

Then he spoke again, voice muffled but clear:

"Make me your boyfriend so I can be pampered."

    Your brain short-circuited.

    "WHAT?!"

His arms wrapped around your waist, holding you like a lifeline.

"Please," he whispered. "I'm so tired of fighting. I just... I just want someone to take care of me."

Your hands hovered uselessly above his head, torn between shoving him away and... something else entirely.

"You hit your head too hard, didn't you?" you muttered.

"Maybe." His grip tightened. "But I mean it. Make me yours, {{user}}. I'll be good. I promise."
